Visitors will find a warm welcome to the numerous local organizations and clubs such as Lion’s Club, Rotary, Kiwanis, Art Association, Garden Club, and Senior Citizen Activity Center, to name a few. Fort Stockton is blessed with fine civic and privately owned recreational, entertainment and need facilities.

Adult and children books, movie rentals and numerous research volumes available. Hosts various music and arts related classes throughout the year. K Pecos County Intermodal Transportation Center: Center for both public and private mass transportation vehicles.
D  Rooney Park: Enjoy large beautiful park with walking trail, playgrounds, soccer and baseball fields. lots of trees and picnic/BBQ areas available. L  Fort Stockton Community Theater: Houses productions by local Theater Company, including dinner theater. Check with the Visitor Center for performance dates and times.
E  Desert Pines Golf Course (Municipal): Located on U.S. Highway 285 (one mile northwest of Fort Stockton). This is the home course of Blaine McCallister, PGA touring professional. Course is open Tuesday through Sundays. Green fees are $20 on weekdays and $25 on weekends and holidays. Carts are $10 for nine holes and $20 for 18 holes. For more information, call (432) 336-2050. M   Pecos County Shooting Range: Host site for International Silhouette Shooters and Sheep Dog Trials.
F  Gene Cummings Park: Has 2 beach volleyball courts, Skateboard Park and wonderful splash park for smaller children. N  Williams Regional Technical Training Center: Local branch of Midland College, offers Associate degrees and Technical Training.
G  Pecos County Memorial Hospital: Family Practice Centers and Specialty Clinics, Wellness Center, Emergency Care 24/7, air ambulance on site. O  Fort Stockton Post Office: 106 East 4th Street
H  Pecos County Airport: 7,500 foot runway, Central Terminal with Pilot’s Lounge, fuel and transportation. P  Fort Stockton Recreation Center: Baseball and Soccer Fields, Racquetball Quarts, Weight Training and Gymnasium.
